"With fall coming, the leaves change color and begin to drop leaving behind naked branches.  As the dark descends upon us, the mind manipulates the spindly branches into a creepy presence.  These dark branches could be a dark woman – Elvira.

She embraces the dark and exudes exaggerated feminine charm. This design is meant to bloom in color then dry in place preserving a lasting artistic vision in the medium of flowers."

Artist and Floral Designer Anny Sears was the creator of "Elvira".  This design was actually two combined pieces of art, both equally fascinating.  The surrealistic form of Elvira rested on an equally impressive and carefully balanced cairn of basalt boulders.
