Joe Florist is making a delivery of birthday flowers to an employee in an office building. The office receptionist comments on how lovely the arrangements and says, “My sister is getting married in June. Do you do wedding flowers”? Joe hands her a business card and says, “We sure do. Check out our web site”. As he walks out the door, the receptionist is logging on to Joe’s website. She reviews the dozens of beautiful color photographs of weddings that Joe has done recently. Then she reads the “Thank You” letters from happy brides. As she looks at the photos and biographies of your design staff, she dials her sister’s phone number. “Sis, if you have a second, you gotta look at this website. This florist really does fantastic wedding flowers!”

Rose Blossom is one of the most gregarious people you will every meet. she’s never met a stranger, will strike up a conversation with anyone and always carries business cards. While trapped in a Midwestern airport for six hours by thunderstorms, Rosie got to meet and give out business cards to nearly everyone on her flight back to Spokane. The following week, one of Rosies fellow passengers, Bob, came across her business card while filling out his travel expense report. Smiling, as he remembered her high spirits in the face of a miserable flight delay, he thought, “I wonder what her web site Looks like”.

Quickly Bob typed in Rosie’s website address. As the website opened, cheerful upbeat music poured out of the computer speakers and a picture of the front of Rosie’s store opened on his computer screen. Pictured was a massive European display of flowers in front of the store and standing in front of the doorway with a big smile was Rosie. Bob smiled, and thought, “Next time I need flowers, I know who to call” He then opened the “favorites” file in his web browser, bookmarked Rosie’s website and carefully saved the address in his “personal” file.
